About Me

I work in operational resilience and IT disaster recovery, with a particular focus on how complex services behave under stress.

Over time, I became less interested in whether organisations had plans, policies, or completed exercises — and more interested in something harder to see: where fragility accumulates quietly inside systems that appear stable.

That tension between confidence and capability is what led to the ideas explored here.

My background sits across ITDR, business continuity, and operational resilience within financial services. I have worked with technology teams, operations, and senior stakeholders to understand not just how recovery should work — but how it actually behaves when assumptions are tested.

Fragility by Design is not a framework or a product. It is a way of seeing.

It reflects a simple belief:
organisations rarely fail because they ignore resilience —
they fail because exposure builds inside structures that feel controlled.

This site brings together my writing on:

  • Operational resilience

  • IT disaster recovery

  • Service fragility

  • Scenario testing and hidden assumptions

If these ideas resonate — or challenge your thinking — I welcome the conversation.
